Oslo Energy Forum
Xyntéo manages the annual programme of the Oslo Energy Forum on behalf of the Energy Policy Foundation of Norway, a non-profit organisation that aims to find answers to the world’s most pressing energy questions.
The Oslo Energy Forum (formerly known as Sanderstølen Conference) has for nearly four decades served as one of the world’s most important meeting places for the energy industry. The conference brings together government decision-makers and top policy thinkers with key business leaders from the oil and gas, renewable energy, electric power, contracting, transport and financial industries.
The inaugural forum was held in 1973, just as the Norwegian oil and gas industry was taking off and the world economy was reeling from the global oil crisis. Since then the ambition of the conference has broadened. Today it aims not only to lead debate of traditional energy concerns such as security of supply, but also to stimulate new industry thinking around newer challenges, such as climate change.
