Our big idea
We need growth, but growth of a different kind.
There is a lot going on in the world today, but two trends – climate change and a rapidly expanding global population – loom the largest. Putting them together adds up to this conclusion: we need growth to support continued human progress and a fair global society, but we need growth that is different from the kind that we have become used to.
We need to change the way we live, move and power ourselves, what and how we produce and consume. We have to learn how to grow without putting carbon into the atmosphere.
