Shanghai GLTE: 11-12 November 2010

The Shanghai GLTE brought together business leaders from a range of industries and countries to trade ideas and exchange experiences of low-carbon growth and innovation.

Given the meeting's location, the programme featured a heavy emphasis on China's growing role in driving global take-up of renewable energy technologies. We also considered in detail how we can make our grids, cities and transport systems fit for the low-carbon future.

Wolfgang Dehen, CEO of Siemens Energy Sector, took part in an interview filmed on location in Shanghai. In the interview, Todd Benjamin, former Financial Editor at CNN, asked Mr Dehen why Siemens was making the effort to go low-carbon and which technological successes he was most proud of.

Below is the Shanghai programme, divided according to working session. Click on the + sign to expand each session and download available presentations.
