Smart solutions for changing times

This new document looks at smart solutions for our changing times, taking its inspiration from the informative presentations and lively discussions that took place at the Global Leadership and Technology Exchange (GLTE) in San Francisco in November.

Speakers addressed everything from lower-carbon solutions from traditional energy sources to possible game-changing technologies and innovative business models. They agreed that many solutions are needed and that most of the technologies are within our reach today.

The next GLTE will be held in Berlin on 18-19 April 2012. Royal Dutch Shell will host the exchange, and CEO Peter Voser will give a keynote speech. Berlin is a fitting setting to address the unprecedented challenges and enormous opportunities we face as a growing population and increasing wealth puts more and more stress on our energy, water and food resources.
