Xynteo enabled a global logistics company to embed leadership culture transformation and engagement for a more customer-centric future
The opportunity
History is paved with giants who were ultimately disrupted – often at the top of their game. Xynteo was approached by a logistics business that recognised that to remain relevant for customers and talent and improve pockets of poor profitability and morale, a culture transformation was required.
Following development of a new corporate purpose and set of values to take the company into the future, the business needed a partner to help roll it out in multiple geographies.

The solution
To achieve the desired results, Xynteo launched an 18-month programme to equip 4,000 leaders to become catalysts of a future-fit culture and better versed in the issues that were top of mind for its customers and society.
The programme was delivered in three waves, beginning with the top 133 leaders. Each wave took part in three phases: Explore, Apply and Cascade. In ‘Explore’, leaders built a shared narrative – a burning platform – of what the future might hold and why culture change was necessary. In ‘Apply’, leaders worked with their teams to develop 100-day plans for how to drive commercial performance within this emerging future, using the new values. In ‘Cascade’, the leaders put plans into action and mentored the next wave.
The results
Leaders reported feeling better able to use the values to drive commercial performance, more relevant in customer conversations, and equipped with a better understanding of company values, external trends and how the company can become more fit for the future.
During the programme, wave one leaders also developed two proposals for projects focused on purpose, selected from a shortlist of nine.
